Peter Lütsches, geboren 1899 in Süchteln, war bis 1933 Fraktionsführer der Zentrumspartei im Süchtelner Stadtrat. Nach seiner Emigration nach Holland wurde er im Zweiten Weltkrieg verhaftet und in das Konzentrationslager Sachsenhausen gebracht. Nach Kriegsende war er Mitglied des ersten Düsseldorfer Stadtrats und Mitbegründer der Organisation der Verfolgten des Nazi-Regimes (VVN) in Nordrhein-Westfalen sowie später des Bundes der Verfolgten des Nazi-Regimes (BVN). Er starb am 4. November 1959 in Düsseldorf nach langer Krankheit.
