About This Initiative
Through this project portal we will share stories, documents, research tools, resources and a way to connect to other descendants and researchers.
Our goal is to share with each other and our growing community, to fill in gaps of knowledge from missing history.

We are not alone. We are part of a community who met through the Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum’s descendant networking meeting held in September 2024. We maintain contact and collaborate with the memorial as well as fellow descendants at Voices of the Next Generation.
We are open for participation by other Sachsenhausen Descendants. Please get in touch if you want to get involved!
Why is this Project Needed?
Many descendants of prisoners have little information about their relatives and there are significant barriers to accessing information.
Descendants have puzzle pieces of information and many questions.
We began building an archive and podcast to collect and understand information we wouldn’t be able to access if we looked at our individual records on our own.
